Is it just me, or does anyone else watch Say Yes To The
Dress and absolutely cringe when a bride brings an entourage of people with her
to “help” her choose the most important piece of clothing that she will ever
wear (and probably the most expensive)?
Only to leave empty-handed and in tears.
I don’t understand why brides set themselves up for
disappointment when they can’t get the approval of a veritable army of
“helpers”. Who cares what Aunt Ethel
really thinks? Unless, of course, Aunt
Ethel is footing the bill! And will
someone pleeeeeeease explain to me why a bride brings her groom to her bridal
gown selection appointment? Call me old
fashioned, but…………I always thought it was bad luck for a groom to see the
wedding dress before the wedding.
So brides, save yourself tears of frustration and take
only a few important people in your life, whose opinions you truly value. It will make the whole process so much more
enjoyable and oh, so less stressful…………I’m just sayin!
